Organisation of District Power Company

The objective of this assignment was to assist Vietnam's Power Corporations in evaluating the organisation functions and management arrangements of the District Branches that operate under Vietnam's provincial power company, and establish a unified organizational model applicable to all district branches, in order to enhance their efficiency. 

The specific objective of the consultancy services is to design and recommend the organizational business model for the district branches (DBs), which belong to the provincial power companies, to be uniformly adopted by EVNNPC, EVNCPC and EVNSPC. Within this objective, the Consultant is expected to prepare a description of the organizational structure for DBs’ distribution and retail operations, and a roadmap for its implementation, starting from the current condition. The tasks including:

1.       Task 1: Assessment and Initial Diagnosis of the District Branches.

2.       Task 2: Organizational and Business of DBs

3.       Task 3: Roadmap for implementation of DB business model and organizational structure

4.       Task 4: Workshop and Final Report

The project involved Dr. Stuart Thorncraft (Intelligent Energy Systems - IES) and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam (VietnamMW).
